Adopt a Player

The “Adopt a Player” Program is administered by Mike Smith. The goal of this program is to keep parents (out of state, who don’t have access to Baton Rouge newspapers) up-to-date on activities concerning the LSU football team and their son. Members are encouraged to select an incoming freshman player and mail his parents newspaper articles concerning LSU football on a weekly basis. Players are chosen on a first-come basis after the national signing date in early February. Contact with players is limited by NCAA rules, a copy of which is given to all members who participate.
