President’s Message

Hello, fellow Tiger Fans.

My name is Chuck Goodwin and I am honored to serve as president of the Tiger Gridiron Club for the 2009-10 year. First, let me thank Vince DeSalvo for his very successful year as President.

As the Club enters its 15th season of existence, I hope you will join with me in making this a very special year. As you know, our primary fund-raising function is the Bayou Bash which is the biggest and best recruiting event in the country. We have also been very successful in our Golf Tournaments which have been held in multiple sites to allow a maximum number of Tiger Fans to attend. The event in May was held in Marksville and was very successful. As always, we will have our Friday luncheons with Coach Miles.

As the beginning of football season approaches, your Board is planning the following events: Meet the freshmen, a fall scrimmage attendance, a bus trip to the Ole Miss game, and our great Friday luncheons with Coach Miles. I know how much LSU Football means to all of us, so I have one request. If you have any ideas for improvement or something new to suggest, please feel free to contact me or any Board Member. We are looking for ways to improve our Club and to get our members more involved.
